I’m Prof. Defriman Djafri, S.K.M., M.K.M., Ph.D., Professor of Epidemiology at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Andalas, Padang, Indonesia. I served as Dean of the Faculty for two terms (2016–2024) and was inaugurated as Professor in April 2025 with a lecture on the integration of artificial intelligence in modern epidemiology.
My research spans infectious disease epidemiology, disaster management, climate change, and health policy — 98 publications since 2007 with around 250 citations.
